RESIGNATIONS HIT SOCIALIST PARTY AS NATIONAL YOUTH LEADERS

THE Socialist Party has been shaken by the abrupt resignation of several senior youth officials, including newly appointed National Youth Secretary Richard Bravo Mulenga, who stepped down less than 24 hours after being appointed.

Mr. Mulenga, who had served as National Youth Deputy Secretary for two years prior to his appointment, resigned from both his position and membership of the party this morning.

Following Mr. Mulenga’s resignation is Mr. Francis Shula, who served as National Youth Vice Chairman for Politics and was also a member of the Central Committee. He has stepped down with immediate effect while relinquishing his membership from the party.

Others who have resigned include Ngambo Machayi, National Youth Treasurer, and Martha Shula, National Youth Vice Mobilization Coordinator.

Both officials have equally stepped down from their positions and withdrawn their membership from the Socialist Party.

The officials have expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve at the national level and extended their best wishes to the party in its future endeavors.
